We’re looking for an experienced Cloud FinOps Analyst to join us to lead & guide our teams on how to optimize and manage their cloud spend. We are looking for candidates with a strong cloud technology & cost background. 

The Impact You Will Make

  • Support engineering teams in understanding their cloud costs
  • Provide summaries and detailed usage statistics for resources across AWS, offering actionable intelligence to right-size and scale services efficiently
  • Identify and facilitate opportunities to optimize & reduce cost to realize savings
  • Manage cloud Compute Savings Plans and Reserved Instance purchases
  • Create KPI to to assist with business decisions
  • Support technology department cost optimization across various categories (e.g., software tool sourcing, AWS cloud procurement, operations & analysis)
  • Evaluate and investigate data patterns and anomalies to drive insightful knowledge that can inform strategic and operational decisions
  • Design, develop, and maintain reports, processes and KPIs that provide detailed usage statistics and costs correlations across our AWS landscape

What You Bring to the Table

  • 3+ years on AWS services/solutions
  • 3+ years experience with data analysis of large and complex data sets and extracting insights from data in a tech-company
  • Analytical and quantitative skills with hands-on experience on cloud demand forecasting, cost optimization, capacity planning, cloud utilization and spend modelling and cost savings strategy development (e.g. rightsizing, instance optimization, storage tiering, managed services migration and waste elimination)
  • Experience with AWS tagging benefits and limitations
  • Experience with FinOps, preferred with cloud and scale environments
  • Knowledge of AWS billing and cost management tools
  • Familiarity with AWS services, architecture, and tools
  • Experience with 3rd part cloud optimization tools
  • Experience analyzing complex data sets in Excel & SQL, using advanced concepts like vlookups, index matches, named ranges, pivot tables

Vaccination Requirement: Grubhub employees are required to be fully vaccinated, and must be able to show proof of full-Covid-19 vaccination, and booster if eligible, prior to starting employment.
