Grubhub Procurement is looking for a strategic leader to guide Grubhub Workplace into the next phase of the ‘future of work.’  This position will lead a team of 10+ across 8 corporate locations.  You will lead strategy through execution of all facets of Workplace, including facilities management, real estate & construction, security and workplace experience.  You will assess the current state and make recommendations based on Grubhub’s culture and macro trends.  This position presents a tremendous opportunity to make a big impact and continue to make every office a great place to come to work.

The Impact You Will Make

  • Oversee critical Workplace functions including, Office Managers, Lease & Landlord Management, Security, Maintenance, Construction Management and Food & Beverage
  • Effectively partner with other business functions, including People and Corp IT, to successfully execute on key initiatives such as Grubhub’s ‘Future of Work’ strategy
  • Support, execute and manage a national real estate strategy that enables the company to have adequate space for our employees in a work environment that is safe, productive, and fun
  • Participate in lease management & strategy in coordination with Finance, Legal Counsel and Corp IT
  • Oversee Project Management for tenant improvement projects and interact with general contractor to ensure jobs are done on time, within budget, and move-in can occur as expected
  • Lead vendor management specific to Grubhub Workplace operations to ensure our relationships are optimized for value delivered, including having productive relationships with our landlords
  • Utilize financial skills and acumen to make sound business decisions, support negotiations, evaluate issues and propose solutions related to Grubhub Workplace vendor footprint
  • Continually addresses and resolves organizational barriers with agile decision making and outstanding communication of risk versus reward 
  • Provide regular communication to leadership and demonstrates change management when appropriate
  • Demonstrates capability to build a high-performance team; hires and retains the right talent in the right roles; sets goals, delegates work, holds reports accountable; develops and empowers direct reports to make decisions and take action

What You Bring to the Table

  • 10+ years of Workplace management experience in an office environment
  •  Be able to travel 10 - 20% of time to other offices and potential future locations
  • Ability to navigate and analyze information to clearly and quickly work through the key issues, problems and opportunities, and relay complex information and ideas to teams for execution
  • Excellent business judgment, problem-solving and decision-making abilities; proven ability to think outside of the box and innovate
  • Fast moving, flexible, strategic thinker who has created and maintained multi-site real estate and facilities programs
  • Experience in executing and developing projects and programs on schedule and on budget
  • Negotiation experience in all kinds of real estate and facilities contracts
  • Success building a team focused on customer service
  • Effective relationship builder and communicator across all levels

Vaccination Requirement: Grubhub employees are required to be fully vaccinated, and must be able to show proof of full-Covid-19 vaccination, and booster if eligible, prior to starting employment. Fully vaccinated is defined as: “2 weeks have passed since your second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines, or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine.” Those eligible to receive the booster must receive the booster to be considered fully vaccinated, and those not yet eligible will be required to obtain the booster once eligible (6 months post last dose).
