• Oversee highly-scalable, world-class algorithms that solve difficult routing and logistics problems. Translate research into working software.
• Provide input to shape the charter and structure of the fulfillment department.
• Build and mature the 'crown jewel' logistics systems of Grubhub.
• Extend the current team through hiring, and mentoring.
• Work with product and engineering leaders to understand our business's and our customers' needs and provide solutions for those needs.
• Actively contribute to the adoption of strong software architecture, development of best practices, and new technologies.

• 3+ years of experience managing a team of engineers and providing mentorship and career progression.
• 8+ years experience building highly-scalable routing and fulfillment algorithms.
• Experience with Java / C#/ Python / Go, or similar modern languages.
• AWS experience, or similar cloud-based offerings.
• Familiarity or experience with optimization, analytical models, or machine learning will be a strong plus.
• Familiarity with routing, forecasting, and time estimation algorithms is a major plus.
• Bachelor's Degree in Science, Programming or Engineering related.
