As Senior Associate, Community Affairs and Social Impact, you will have an impact on Grubub's philanthropic and charitable giving strategies in core markets, focusing on restaurant support, food insecurity/food waste programs, and youth development programs. Further, you will identify important opportunities to build goodwill with restaurant associations, chambers of commerce, and community advocacy organizations.


You will work in New York City. You will report to the Senior Manager of Community Affairs and Social Impact, and will coordinate with Grubhub's Government Affairs, Communications, Legal, and Marketing teams.


The Impact You Will Make

  • Help build national and local community affairs strategies
  • Track and maintain an active list of local, state, and national partnerships.
  • Manage grassroots advocacy programs.
  • Draft communications for senior and executive teams and external audiences and coordinate with Grubhub's social media team to amplify events, programs and partnerships.
  • Identify and grow opportunities to align the Grubhub goals with community affairs opportunities.
  • Help manage external consultants and team member engagement.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor's degree in a related concentration
  • At least 3 years of experience in government, corporate philanthropy, or social impact programs.
  • Direct policy experience with marketplace-based organizations
  • Experience working with policymakers, advocates, trade associations or other constituencies to develop advocacy strategies to promote policy goals
  • Experience leading programs, hitting goals, and succeeding in a team environment.
  • Experience operating in a collabortative organization, creating agreement, and implementing action plans
  • Top-notch public speaking and writing ability
  • Project management skills
  • About 30% of travel is required in this role
