    Some Challenges You’ll Tackle

    We’re looking for an exceptional people leader with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude to join the Market Operations team.  You’ll be responsible for a team of Team Leads and Operation Specialists, as well as a Grubhub office. A real self-starter, you should have a passion for developing people and creating ways to elevate your team—plus a proven track record of getting things done.

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Motivating, inspiring, and leading Team Leads who oversee teams of Operation Specialists 
    • Balancing execution, process improvements, and impeccable operations
    • Helping launch and expand certain tests for Market Operations by implementing processes and identifying best practices 
    • Keeping every detail of your hub operating like a well-oiled machine, but also taking time to think through strategy and process with a broad perspective and making the necessary improvements to fuel future growth
    • Collaborating with leadership, peers, and direct reports to drive meaningful results
    • Helping interview, select, onboard and train a team of Operation Specialists and Team Leads and giving them the tools, resources, and guidance they need to be successful. Employee development is an essential part of this role
    • Meeting with your team regularly, and conduct meaningful one on ones. These meetings must infuse your hub with the Grubhub values, culture, and performance standards that make the Grubhub employee and operations exceptional
    • Working cross-functionally with groups company-wide, including Product, Finance, Market Managers, People Partner Team
    • Other duties as assigned

    You Should Have

    Required Experience/Skills:

    • 5+ yrs. of relevant work experience in operations, strategy, or business development.. You think like an owner, and are determined to get the hard work done at every level 
    • 3+ yrs. of management/team leadership experience with the ability to develop team dynamic, identify talent, and foster growth. Customer Service management experience is a plus. You handle difficult situations in a friendly, positive way
    • Passion to understand new things and solve problems in creative and unconventional ways 
    • Strong attention to detail; digs into all of the minutiae and understands every aspect of the business; You love to learn and when something isn’t clear you figure it out
    • Proven track record of working cross-functionally, you understand a collective effort creates a better experience internally and externally 
    • Excellent written and verbal communicator  
    • Critical thinker with strong analytical skills; you bring solutions to the table based on thorough analysis (must be very savvy with spreadsheets and being rigorously analytical)
    • Thrives working in a fast-paced environment with ambitious goals 

    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management preferred
